We are famous for our Spitbraai.

If you want to treat your friends or colleagues to an awesome spit braai, look no further than Red Bird, we only offer the best local in season produce with quality A graded lamb, and the best beef and pork that South Africa has to offer.

We will come to your venue 3 to 4 hours before serving time, to freshly prepare your spit braai. By serving time, everything will be ready for your guests to feast on a perfectly cooked spit braai.

Our Story

In 2020, Tinus Stoltz, the founder of Red Bird, was locked up at home with no where to go. The reason? Lock Down.

At the age of 10 he was already preparing Sunday lunches for his family, from a Sunday braai to a full Sunday meal with roasted chicken, green beans, pumpkin,
and mashed potatoes with gravy.
By the time he was 26 years old he has already done the catering for weddings, 21st birthday parties and much more. In 2010 he
started a Deli and 2012 he was one of the top 100 candidates selected to compete in MasterChef South Africa.

After receiving a job offer in Pretoria, he packed up and moved to Gauteng.

Fast track to March 2020, to lockdown, and with nothing to do. He started developing his own signature Durban curry dish and the famous Red Bird Beef
hamburger patty.

Now, after perfecting his skills, it's time to take flight...

What we offer

We offer a wide variety of catering services, from Spit Braai, Braai, Platters, Feast Tables, Buffets, Canapes to personalized Menus for all your Parties, Weddings, Corporate Functions, Music Events, School Events and so much more.

We cater for all your needs and can supply all that is needed for your event, from tables, chairs, and accessories to servers and décor.

We are Halaal friendly as well.

We are based in Paarl but do offer catering in the following areas: Paarl, Cape Winelands, Helderberg, Somerset West, Worcester, Rawsonville, Wellington, Durbanville, Kraaifontein, Brackenfell, Bellville, Strand, Gordons Bay, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek.

(Wir sind aus Deutschland, haben aber den Geburtstag in Kapstadt mit freunden verbracht und gefeiert.) Tinus kam mit drei Leuten, hat seine Grills aufgebaut und uns ein typisches südafrikanisches Braai zubereitet – und was soll ich sagen: Das Essen war der Hammer! Extrem lecker, perfekt gegrillt und von allem mehr als genug für alle Gäste. Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass er auf alle unsere Wünsche eingegangen ist und wir uns wirklich um nichts kümmern mussten.
